Utilizing his wealth of experience in healthcare operations and healthcare venture capital investing, Bob supports Tullis funds with deal sourcing, deal review, due diligence, portfolio company support, and fundraising. He is also a member of the Tullis Advisory Board.
Bob began his career in the healthcare space as an operator at Surgical Laser Technologies and later at Cardinal Health, where, in addition to being general manager of Snowden Pencer, he was vice president of new ventures. He later led pharmaceutical sales at US Oncology, overseeing six operating businesses with $2.5 billion in annual revenues.Following his extensive operating career, Bob joined Harbert Management Corporation as a senior partner, leading their healthcare practice and holding positions on 12 portfolio company boards. Most recently,Bob launched and led the American Cancer Society’sBrightEdge healthcare impact fund, leading four investments, one of which had a successful IPO in less than a year, and creating a prestigious advisory board comprised of leading scientists, physicians and innovators in oncology.
Bob serves on the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Research Alliance, as well as the boards of the Southern Capital Forum, the Global Center for Medical Innovation, and Health Connect South.
A graduate of the University of Georgia, Bob holds Bachelor of Science degrees in political science and chemistry.
